CAN Bus

CAN Bus (Controller Area Network bus) is a rugged serial bus designed for industrial environments. Introduced by Bosch in 1986 for in-vehicle networks, it is used in myriad applications providing data transmission of operational parameters and control information in factory automation, aerospace and cars, trucks and buses. CAN bus replaces bulky wiring harnesses with a two-wire differential cable.

PULSE CAN Bus Interface BZ-5610 software is part of a combined hardware/software solution that allows PULSE to read the messages available on the CAN bus and, where appropriate, display them as instantaneous, averaged or waterfall data (slice) inside of PULSE using PULSE’s standard displays. The CAN data can be held in PULSE as stand-alone datasets (functions) or appended to the z-axis (Tags) in waterfall data. The CAN interface also works with the data recorder allowing CAN data to be recorded as part of a time history.

Features

  • Full integration of CAN bus data in PULSE making it available throughout the system for use together with various PULSE applications including Labshop Type 7700, PULSE Data Recorder Type 7708, Automotive Test Manager Type 7796, and Vehicle Pass-by Type 7788
  • CANStore for editing CAN database files
  • Two hardware solutions available – you choose what suits you best
  • Use of all CAN derived tachometers for order analysis
  • Display CAN data as live displays or readouts
  • Support for recording CAN data time histories together with dynamic data and saving CAN data to database
  • CAN Logger connection tool for simplifying connection and configuration
