Brüel & Kjær has pioneered the Spatial Transformation of Sound Field (STSF) technique for the last 20 years. This method of Noise Source Identification and Nearfield Acoustic Holography (NAH) has solved problems in the automotive (tire, wind tunnel, and powertrain), industrial, appliance, and defense industries. STSF offers significant advantages over traditional techniques for Noise Source Identification. With PULSE 14, Stationary STSF is part of the integrated PULSE Noise & Vibration platform. STSF on PULSE offers the advanced capabilities of NAH for significantly lower cost over previous dedicated solutions. The PULSE based system is very scalable and expandable to meet current and future Noise Source Identification requirements, including beamforming, conformal mapping, non-stationary NAH and spherical beamforming.
